This is my first post. I have type 2. I started Byetta 11 days ago and started getting bruising and yellow skin coloring in my abdomen. Is this normal? The last 2 days I started injectiing my thigh and am having no problem so far.

I'm thrilled that my appetite has decreased quite a bit and I have lost a few lbs. My glucose has dropped from fasting of 170 down to 130-135. My ALc from 12 days ago was 7.1

I'm 55 yrs old 5"8' 205 lbs so I need to drop at least 30 pounds. I was diagnosed 5 yrs ago I also take glyburide/metformin 5/500mg once at breakfast and twice at dinner.

I appreciate all the usefull info on this site. Thanks

Welcome Bruno.

I don't have a clue what Byetta is. It sounds like a car¿ If you inject it, bruising and yellow skin is perfectly normal. At least I hope it is. I survived 30 years of it ;)

Byetta is a new drug developed (believe it or not) from some kind of lizard saliva. I'm glad to hear that the bruising is normal.

it's pretty common for most people to bleed when they get poked with sharp objects, except for maybe a few crazy Texans I know. I think I've bruised just about everywhere I've injected, but strangely enough I've had no bruising in six months on my pump.
