My levels have been so bad for so long that I actually feel low anywhere below 7.0mmol/L. This is so bad cos I just want to eat when I am technically in the 'normal' range. I guess my body has just got used to having so much glucose going round it.

I have just started on a pump, and really want to get better levels, its just I will have to put up with the nasty horrible feeling of low-ness when I'm not, until my body readjusts, which I don't think will be easy :argh:

When you feel low and you really are in the normal range, try eating something small that is low carb to moderate carb to trick your body into thinking your bs is going back up. Eventually, your body will get used to being in the normal range again, it just takes time.

It probably won't take more than a week or so at normal numbers to feel 200% better. Congrats on the pump...

I went through the exact same thing when I got mine under control. Low carb is the KEY to getting over it. It takes about 2-3 days of "normal" for you to get used to it.

I am right there with you BK as far as that feeling at normal range. The advice given is dead on though. I have been working on it.
