First Time to Post....Hello!!

Hello everyone,

My name is Nita....older lady of 72....type 2 diabetic for 20 years using Humulin 70/30 twice a day and Humalog mid afternoon for corrections.

I started with diet...then Glucatrol...then the insulins the last 10 years. With a liver problem there have been no extras such as Avandia, etc.

I am overwhelmed right at the moment reading all of the postings here but hope to start understanding a whole lot more.

I will be going to my first specialist this month having been under the PCP's care all of this time. I feel like I need new direction now. My A1C is 7.3. I am constantly too high in my BG readings so am looking forward to it.
