Hello to All,
I am new to the site. I have an eight year old son (Zack) who was diagnosed as type 1 in Janurary 2005. It was scary at first but we are doning great now. I was happy to find this forum and be able to talk to so many people with a lot of great first hand information. I look forward to talking with you all.

On this forum it seems to be the majority are Type 1 ...so you will be receiving lots of good information.... You are not alone....

Lots of info here, remember you can ask ANYTHING here, many are experienced diabetics, some of us are newly diagnosed too... so there's tons of experiences shared here.

Hey Daniel! Hey Zack,how's it going! You'll do just fine . I 've got a brother who got the big"D" when he was just 5 years old and he's an Old guy now,and still going strong!! He plays in a rock and roll band,plays lead guitar,and he also plays harmonica and keyboard. I'm not saying be a rock-n-roller,be anything you want to be ,Nothing's stopping you!

Hi and welcome,

Sorry to hear that your son was dx'ed with diabetes. I can't lie~ it's not an easy disease to live with, but at least it can be managed and controlled (for the most part).

This is a great place for info, support, and advice... so please pop in, visit, and post! :)
