I try to test every time before I get in the car, but I admit to not being perfect, so let's take a poll!

The only time I don't test is if I've recently tested and well within my driving comfort zone. Normally, though, every time. I'm totally paranoid at the thought of going hypo while driving.

I test if I feel low or if I have been doing alot of heavy activity prior to driving.
I only do when I know I haven't eaten in a while. I'm not one to get many hypos though so I don't worry so much about it. I laughed at the "What's a test?" option. I guess one would have to be in the wrong place. ;)

After work, when I typically go low, or after exercise.
When I voted most of the time, it's like 95%. The few times I don't, it's because I tested in the last two hours, knew I was stable, etc.

Wow, I never test beforedriving. On a long road trip I will test during a pit stop to see where I'm at, but I never test before driving, unless i think i feel low.....

i usually know what's going on with my bg, so i only really test when i feel low, or if im not sure what it is. Naughty really.

I'm like Stu, I can generally guess my BG quite well. However, most of my car journeys (when I had a car) were pretty short anyway - I live about half and hour away from pretty much everything. On longer journeys though I will test, and I'll probably test mid-journey too. I've lost track of the amount of times I've pulled over at Taunton Deane services on the way to Exeter.

I don't test UNLESS I am going on a long trip...over an hour away. I then normally test when I get up, 2 hours after (which is when I am on the road) and depending upon the result I set a schedule (in my head) of how often to test there after.

I always try to know what my BS is while driving, which like some others only means testing sometimes right before driving.

I said "most of the time" only because sometimes I've checked close enough before I'm driving that I know I'm ok. I is very unsafe for a type 1 to drive without knowing what their bg is...

I'm the same as Cyborg. I check about every two hours so I feel confident of where my bs are. Plus I have sugar and candy in the truck as well as in my purse, just in case!

I should mention that I pretty much always know where my BGs are. It is rare that I get into a car without having tested recently anyway.

I have a bottle of lucozade and some glucose tab's in the car all the time, I also carry a pack of glucose tabs in my coat inside pocket all the time.

I usually test right when I get in my car, and will test often while driving. When riding my motorcycle, when the weather is nicer, I don't like the fact I can't test on the go. Really want a CGMS that I can use on just those types of scenerios but calibration times are to far off right now.

I always test before I drive & during if it is a long trip. Better to be safe (for me & everyone else) than sorry....

I test often whether I'm driving or not so I can often guess. As it turns out I drive to work just after breakfast so I've tested anyway and I tesdt before driving home as I plan to eat when I get in.
When I drive the girlfriends hors lorry (5.5 tonnes) I am required to test just before driving and at 2 hour intervals during the drive. This reminds my, my licence to do this is about to expire and I've not heard from the DVLA in a while. Must chase them.
