I can't believe my endo told me I am not overweight enough for byetta!!
I walk everyday and watch carbs till I am blue in the face to keep my weight down ( I have always been over-weight) :banghead:

another thing, this was my first visit to a endo.. and I told her all my problems.. arthritis (not concerned) pain in my right side -kidney stones (not concerned) enlarged thyroid - getting a scan and she took 3 tubes of blood..
all she was set on was putting me on insulin

Hi Fedup, If you don't like your endo change. As it's your first visit give the endo a chance but tell her of your concerns and ask for a response. I'm surprised she overlooked some of your concerns though, so, if her response isn't to your satisfaction, well, go change.

Well.. I went to the endo yesterday.. she did a scan on my thyroid and now wants to do ultra sound... says it seems to have some sort of growth on both sides.. by my thyroid blood test is normal..
but she hit me with other news ... says I am not producing enough insulin.. and I am at the max on oral meds... so she showed me how to inject and wrote me up for lantus..not real happy about the injections.. but at this point I was so frustrated trying to get BS down
