Insulin dosage: what is high?

Hello all,

I'm on 10 IU of Insulatard once a night before bed. The Novopen 3 has 70 IU per injection. May I know what is the most insulin that anyone takes per dose and per day?

We all take different ammounts, it's all down to your own body. Dont forget a lot of us take multiple injections a day.

My DE told me that she has a patient that uses 1 whole cartridge PER DAY... now that's crazy!!

I pump between 80 to 160 units a day.

Pre pump and MDI days I was on 100 units of Lantus split in to shots. I did about 10 to 30 units of pre mix **** at meals depending on how high carb I was eating.

I too pump about 80-150 units a day.
