A company for Diabetics run by Diabetics. The comapny would create, design, market and sell Diabetic supplies. The primary goal of the company is to sell the fiinest Diabetic supplies, period. For example, our insulin Pumps. Make a bullet proof pump. To many companies take short cuts and produce poorly designed products with short lives. Any thoughts?
Does anyone think it is suspect that Medtronic can not seem to design and implement an integrated insulin pump and a continuous Glucose monitor?

It's way expensive to develop, test, and deliver an insulin pump. I think the problem is that technology moves at a much faster pace than the FDA does. By the time a pump gets FDA approval, a newer, better pump is in the pipeline. Then it takes another 2 or 3 years to jump through all the hoops for FDA approval on the new pump (or even new features on an existing pump).

Thank you for your reply. I agree it does take a lot of money to develop and implement an insulin pump. So I ask, " why should that stop someone from trying"?

I suspect it is much more complicated than most of us suspect, for diabetic or non-diabetic scientists...

I am not trying, I am doing. The vision of the company I have put together is different from yours though. Also money or not, it takes time.
Many talk. Just do it.

It's the money. Imagine the cost of company-wide health insurance. Insurance costs alone would nearly be prohibitive. :motz:
