Diagnosed about 4 years ago and generally do pretty well with diet, exercise and 500 mg metformin. Recent increase in A1c a little bit worrisome but hope its an aberration. Biggest issue at moment is finding some sort of medicine to dry up post nasal drip without throwing BG readings into the stratosphere.
Neat site and looking forward to learning from everyone....Jim

Welcome Jim! Glad you found our forum, it's a great place for information and support. I'm on metformin as well (500 mg 2 times a day) and I find I have to really be strict with my diet/exercise, or my levels reflect it. Others here have had the same experience. Again, Welcome.

Hi Jim! :ciao: Welcome to the fourm! I have issues with my sinuses and allergies, but don't take much of anything for it. If I do take something I usually take the walgreens brand (wal-phed) of Sudafed (the REAL stuff, not that PE ****) Gotta get it from behind the counter. It doesn't mess with my blood sugar.
