For you minimed pumpers out there,

Anyone use the Minimed Solutions Software to download data from your pump? IE BG readings, bolus & basals, carbs, etc...

Is it worth the $70 Minimed wants for it?

I use their site to download my pump readings. I then can go back and pull off any info I need. I print the carts and graphs off. It works great and has all the info Ineed. It is free also. You just need the pump and BG meter, which I don't use for finger sticks, and the cables. I have been doing this since I got the pump 3 months ago. I was downloading the pump once a week but have gone to once every two weeks. It stores all the data on their site. It is called Medtronic Care Link

Ditto

Do you know how much data the pump can store? In December I uploaded 4 months worth without a problem.

I do not find the reports all that useful. I prefer to use a spreadsheet with a big sheet for each day with charts.

I use Diabetes Pilot on my Palm Z22 handheld PDA. I love it! It's user friendly, only cost $25 (the PDA was only $100, and I had it already to use as my organizer), and offers graphs and charts that really help me take charge of my bg's.

Well, I used the website finally. Its great! I can only get a few days off the pump, but the site downloaded everything from last October when I started!

I agree it would be nice to have a spreadsheet output and it would be nice if it read the basal rates. But at least I can go back and get the data now!

Thanks guys!

I would love it if they added a spreadsheet or .csv file download option. I went to their website and sent an email recommending it. Hope everyone would do the same. You have to click on the "contact us" link on their website. Tell them what features you want added and they will forward your message on to the right department.

I thought it was included with the pump?

ParadigmPAL™ is free with the pump. It lets you change your settings via the computer. CareLink™ is a free online analysis program. Solutions Software™ is a program they sell for $70. It has the same features and reports as CarLink™. I don't know why anyone would buy it. I guess if you didn't have Internet access. :pcguru:
