I'm a new T1 who found this Forum thanks to some great advice from my buddy John. Thanks John...
I can see I'll be getting lots of information here. It's nice to see there is a resource like this were newbie's like me can seek advice from the "pros" ;)
It's been less than two weeks since I found out I'm a member of the privileged Big "D" Community - so I'm full of questions. I'm sure I'll have a few to post as the days and weeks go by.

Welcome -
I'm glad John brought you to us. I was dx'd almost a year ago and I remember how hard it can be at first.
Expect a lot of new things to come your way - some good, and some - not so good.
As you get to know everyone, you'll see how good life can be with the right attitude and supportive friends.

Wow - Thanks for all the "Welcomes" - much appreciation to everyone...
Kit - I'll check out the Chat for sure - sounds interesting.
Penny - About me >> I'm on Novorapid 3 x/day and Levimir 1 x/day. Dosages are all over the place right now - we're trying to get "levelled". I've been having a lot of hypos so the D Nurse suggested easing off the dosages a little - so far so good. I love exercise (running, weight training, etc) but have not been able to do any of that - until I get straightened out. What a pain! I even went to shovel the driveway the other day (I'm in the Great White North) - and had a hypo afterwards. No good - this time last year I could do that all day long with no issues.
xMenace - Habs Rule!!! How did you know???
Cyborg (or should I call you Locutus?) - JL Pickard Rules!!!
Hotlips - Check out the "New Thread" Button near the top of the page (just under the Menu). That's after you've entered one of the Forums.
Melissa - Karen - Nancy - Linda - Frank - Cin - pinkytricia - "Thanks" for the welcomes to the Forum. I hope to chat some more with everyone as the days go by....

Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I've been searching the web for info about diabetes and found this board. I've never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I'm happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer eachother here.

Welcome to the board Neiler :)
Glad that John put you in the right direction of joining here - a lot of great friends and supporters!
Hope to see you around often :)
To all the newbies, Neiler, Hotlips and Playtowin, you are all very welcome. This is a great place to be, with so much support when needed, and lots of good advice for everything from a needle to an anchor, almost. Not forgetting, as Kit said, lots of fun. You'll learn more here in a month than you would in a year anywhere. A lot of the other guys here could possibly qualify for a professorship in diabetes, if it was available, such is their knowledge. I hope you all enjoy.

I found this site called realhealth.tv which has a great video. Even though I am a new member, I think everyone here would really like watching this film b/c it was really nice hearing and watching someone talk about their difficulties and how they cope. I wanted to share this with everyone here, hoping It would help you guys too. Here’s the link RealHealth.tv (http://www.realhealth.tv/site.html?goto=26&vid=27&vo=0)
Keep strong everyone!

Welcome to the forum (ps. GO HABS!!!)
Hey AJ21 - Right on! The Habs are not doing too bad. I'm not sure if they'll make a run for the cup this year - but I'm always keeping fingers crossed.

They'll make a run for the East, maybe even make that final. They won't win the Cup against power houses like Aneheim and San Jose. Boy that felt weird to write ;)
