has anyone seen this artical? I wonder if it has any validity to it. YONHAP NEWS (http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/Engnews/20070123/660000000020070123185548E0.html) &
Researchers Make Stem Cell Breakthrough (http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/tech/200701/kt2007012317475111810.htm)
Interesting...I can only find Yonhap and Korea Times articles on these, it will be interesting to see what happens when other news sources/peer review journals look into this.
Certainly there is very little debate about umbilical cord stem cells and their use as well.

I object highly to their use of the word "cure".
I'm tired of the media toying with my emotions.

Not trying to be a skeptic, but wasn't there a scientist from Korea who claimed to have cloned stem cells? And it turned out he was a fraud, just gives me a moments pause.

Yup. Like I said, let's wait until other media outlets and peers have a chance to review this "cure"...

LOL :) Sorry that was funny. But I read ya.
I used to think stem cells were the holy grail of finding a cure, and while I still think they will play an important role in finding multiple cures, I seem to have more faith in altering genes in the immune system. After all replacing pancreatic B cells is only helping the symptom, while fixing the immune system in which produces faulty T-cells which attack B Cells fixes the cause.

My other personality I guess. It made sense at the time!
In honesty just a ficticous person in which you would think it could have been me. Someone once told me that if you have to explain a joke it's not funny. Screw them!!
