i have been a pumper for seven years now, and now my disetronic H-TRONplus
is about to die and i need a new pump, the problem is that it is going to cost me about $2200.00 for a new one because i have crappy insurance now. Is there any financial aid out there that anybody knows of? does the ada give help for this kind of need? i know I could go back to the shot but this pump has changed my life and don't want to go back to the shot.
if anyone know of anyone who offers financial aid or help please let me know.
thanks for reading.

I have to pay $1800 out of pocket for my pump that I am awaiting and medtronics have a payment plan of like 50 bucks a month which you can pay more if you'd like, I had to go with that, I don't have that much money lying around.....

Volzman & Cheryl.............I'm not sure what type of insurance you both have but you can call Focus Pharmacy located in PA. 1-866-403-6287

Focus accepts what your insurance pays as full payment. NO co-pays.......even on pumps! I'm saving over $100 a month in co-pays by purchasing my strips, infusion sets and reservoirs through them.

Good luck!

As far as I understood from my insurance and Focus - they will accept the
insurance payment as full payment only if you have something like 10% or
maybe 20% copay.

If Focus is out of network for your insurance, and the insurance will only
pay something like 50% - Focus will not accept this as full payment.

Please let me know if I'm wrong, or if I misunderstood something.
