If I may ask what would you like to see on Diabuddies? I and Shane have a fair amount planned but priorities can be shifted if there is demand for it. Any suggestions appreciated; I welcome constuctive crticism too.

oh, you should add Apidra & Levemir to the list of insulins in the log, if that's not already on your to-do list.

What about calculating averages? Other blood glucose labels (such as 'before breakfast' 'after dinner', 'illness', 'stress', 'period' for us girlies, lol)? I haven't uploaded any glucose results yet, so maybe you already get statistical measurements & labels once you've uploaded?

Otherwise, it's looking good, Brian! I really like the animation on the homepage.

I'm with the above two. I've mainly been limited from even using the site without the US upload capibility. After I get that then I'll give you a 20 page list of additions to add, lol.

When designing a site like this, you need to take into account the different ways in which people think. This will help you achieve a balance in terms of creating interest in the site. I, for example, am a big-picture thinker. I quickly get frustrated with details, and numbers drive me beserk! I am far more interested in conceptual information.

I can see that you are putting together an impressive diabetes information analysis and management system. But the data-driven modelling approach just doesn't rev my engine. I have been using an intuitive approach to managing this condition for nealy 30 years. And I know pretty well what is going on without even looking at the numbers. I ocassionally load my meter readings onto the computer and graph them. But it doesn't tell me anything I haven't already figured out. So I don't put much energy into analysis.

Having said that, I think a knowledge base would be a useful feature of your site. It would add contextual meaning to the management tools you are providing. And it would enable site visitors to explore ideas that may have a bearing on the numbers they are looking at. Hosting relevant information would also boost your google rankings, attract a lot more traffic and raise the profile of your site. The downside, of course, is that it is a lot of work! :wink:

Yes US smart is the biggest!! lol No other application, except one touch's, is able to use the US. This is being worked on. Shane is the man on this so I'll let him answer questions about it. I know he was/is also working on incorporating the Flash into the client he wrote. He has had the Ultra and Ultra 2 working for sometime now.

Yes the averages! Reports are key with data. On my development machine there are some averages now. For the next relese there will a "spreadsheet" type approach that can break down those time periods you are looking for. Right now the only stats you get are the graphs and lists (aka Diagrids) in which you ul meter data our manually enter in a "diajournal".

I will make sure to add those insulins!!! <thanks!> Also all insulins action profiles will be readily available on everyones diagrid, and will be able to even create your own action profile.

BlueSky this is what the forums here are for IMO(obvioulsy not only for). The site is data / analysis driven. Thank you very much for that input I will keep that in mind as I haven't been thinking outside the box of time vs data.

I actually got my Six Sigma Green Belt in SEO / SEM (Search Engine Optimization / Search Engine Marketing) but don't want that kind of traffic until Team Diabuddies finishes the product. Right now I still consider it beta. From the traffic gotten from here (which is pretty much all the traffic!! THANKS TONY!!!!) It's been very hard to keep users using it or logging in more than once for that matter. I believe once the highly respected diabetic demographic of these forums approves it then I will concentrate on the marketing the completed product.

fg you don't like the graph approach? I too am for the 24hr readings. Just review once a day at most. I find I really only put the system to use when I am reading high for long periods of time. Once I start looking at the data I get my BGL down through analysis.

I found most software lack a nice horizontal view of your blood sugars, carbs and bolus. I think the horizontal is much easier to review your data then the vertical approach that is most often used in software.

Another idea is to have custom reports. Having the ability to select what you want in the report would be good. If want to see just bg readings or carb and bolus.

I would like to get as much info as possible on peripheral neuropathy - especially of the feet. Treatments (info on anedyn treatment), bone structure deterioration, stress fractures, charcot foot and whatever anyone has to offer.

Tracking, treating, and reversing complications is one of the functions of the Diajournal. Right now it just tracks some. The anatomy is a great idea it would be very beneficial for not only neuropathey, but nephropathy, and retinopathy. Thanks Grams :).
