Hi Again. :) Gee, I hope that your Internist finds out
for sure which Type of Diabetes you have. It IS
important to know since the treatments for each are
(usually)quite different. You need to have the correct
treatment to keep you as healthy as possible.

Thanks for getting back to us about which country you
are from. I did look Benelux up and I presume you speak
and normally correspond in German. :) I love to find out
about different countries I hadn't known of before. Always
Great new discoveries. Take Care.

Hi Krittermom, Hello Shanda
Hej Pinkytricia, I dont even have one DVD of bladerunner:o :D , every now en then when it comes on tv I watch it.:) the title of the book is better than the title of the movie I think. the leading actor "Rutger Hauer" lives just a few miles from me:D ,but he has more houses in the world.
Hej Kickstart, my internist told me that it woudnt make any difference in my treatment, because im using insulin already, and the treatment I have is the same as a type I, but I think your right that it could make a difference because the complications are perhaps different between types.
I dont speak german :D ,the BeNeLux stands for, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxumburg, now in Belgium they have the same as in Canada, they speak 2 lenguases, French and Dutch, You ofcource French and Englisch. In the southern part of Belgium they speak French and refuse to speak Dutch. So you now know that I live in the nortern part of Belgium or the Netherlands. Confusing huh :D :D Cya

Hello:

Well, if your Internist misdiagnosed you, I'm glad he/she
at least put you on Insulin so your sugars had a good
chance of being in control.

Oh okay, I'm glad you cleared that up. I first thought
you were Dutch but then I remembered the way you
spelled the word English so I figured you must then be
German. Since you are next to Germany. Darn, I fell for
one of your typos. Now that's sneaky. ;) Just kidding.
My error. I hope that you enjoy being here. :)

I know my typos are very very deceptive ;D lol , but I am on insulin for about 15 years now. The reason I think they thougt I was/am a type 2 is because I use about 40-50 EH insulin a day for about 15 years. I / they think that amount is to small for a type I. well I find out sometime later. nice to here from you. CU

I know my typos are very very deceptive ;D lol Ya, I noticed. :D

Wow, they are just rethinking your diagnosis now
after 15 yrs? I will assume :T that 40-50EH
means European units of Insulin somehow. If so,
that many units are an average for Type 1's. Some
take much less and some take more. All depends
upon how much a Diabetic eats, exercises, their
weight, sensitivity or resistance to Insulin, etc.
I usually take 32 units daily. Yes, please let us
know how it turns out for you after your Dr's visit.
Thanks.

Sorry, I only know what our eh means over here. ;)

Bladerunner
02-25-2007, 02:59 AM
40-50 eh is the total use , so including long working/ basal insulin. I thought that an averege person needs about 1-eh per kilo body weight ?? but as you said it al depents on bodytype exercise etc. I think your eh is the same as my eh Kickstart ;D do you ride a bike because of your name??
Hey moosegirl, how are you, funny name, what does "moose" mean in your name ? :)

Don't worry about it, most of us English speakers have a hard time of it ourselves.

One of my few regrets was not taking typing in high school. Who knew back then I'd be on a computer typing all day long?

Bladerunner
02-25-2007, 05:50 AM
Hey James, why dont you take a type cource, you can find some stuff on the net i guess that can help you (freeware ?) its never to late to learn. Its much quicker if you can type (blind?) dont know if you use that term) and I dont take my mistakes to hard ;D :)

moorejames
02-25-2007, 07:43 AM
thanks. I've actually become a pretty good typist over the years, but that was after a decade or more of the "hunt and peck" method. Would've been a lot easier to just learn properly in the first place.

Hey moosegirl, how are you, funny name, what does "moose" mean in your name ? :)

No. I chose my name cuz I ride a bike. ;)

Actually, you are correct Bladerunner. I/we Very
much enjoy riding the motorcycle spring, summer
and fall. Weather permitting. That's 80% why I
picked KickStart. The fuel is cheap (which would
be handy right now since Imperial was ablaze this
week, so many gas stations are shut down) and
the bike doesn't pollute much.

Ya, I guess your eh is the same as mine. But Not
the big EH. :D

Now you have me thinking.....hhhmm... what does it mean... Kickstart..???
:T

You are 20% correct Pinky. As most people do, I
occasionally need a kickstart to awaken me also. :)

Hey Bladerunner(if you're still alive ;) )! I didn't realize that you were still talking. No, we do not ride all season, just spring, summer and fall and not in rainy or snowy weather.
We do have rain suits but that's only if we have to ride in the rain, which is not often. We do catch unexpected rain sometimes when the weather station is off.

As far as the big EH that was in your other post concerning Insulin, so I don't know. I figured it was European. Catch Ya Later. :)
