Hello, My name is Theresa and I was dx 2/13. Hadn't been feeling well for awhile and friends and family finally convinced me to go in. My blood glucose was 479 at the time and gave me a pretty good scare! My BG is slowly fall down into range but still a little high. I should have gone in sooner since I had almost all of the signs but was in a bit of denial and was worried about other family matters. I am 35 and live alone. I also have COPD, severe asthma since I was a baby and severe emphysema since about 7 yrs ago. I have never smoked, just bad lungs. I am on Meteformin 850 twice a day and 500 at lunch, glyburide 5mg twice a day. I do not know what type I am, Dr. said I could go either way according to the tests so far so have to wait and see. I have already learned alot from this site:) Thanks for letting me ramble.:D
