I would suggest having a Dr's note with you. I never had to show mine but it wouldn't hurt to have one.

I've actually walked through the scanner with my pump in my pocket, tubing sticking out and all. Was not asked a single question...
Once they did take a liking to my cooler bag which held an ice pack and insulin, but they soon realized everything was kosher. I have a don't ask, don't tell policy. I simply pack it and let it go through the machine as part of my carry on luggage.

I have a note from the doctor I carry along, and I usually mention to the first screener that I have insulin and supplies. I've never had a problem getting through. On the other hand, I did have a snowglobe confiscated. go figure. Enjoy the slopes!

Walk through the gate like you normally do with a doctor's note and your supplies. It is a piece of cake. I have never had a problem.

I've been through airport security many times and never once needed my doctor's note. I since stopped bringing one with me and now I only ensure that my insulin (or any other medication) has the pharmacy label with my name on it.
Like Cyborg said, I've never needed a doctor's note to get past security, but I do carry it anyway. They've never checked my insulin either, though I'm wondering if that may be different when I fly in 2 weeks with the whole liquid thing. I have found that they like it when my pump is clearly visible and not hidden under clothes. Most times, the screener identifies it as a pump before I say anything.

We've travelled many times by air with supplies and never had a problem. Just be sure all items have prescription labels. Good Luck, Margaret

i have never been asked for a prescription or a dr.'s note, only time anyone asked a question was when i was wanded, i think it was my belt buckle that set off the walk thru detector and hence the wanding caught my pump, i just pulled it outta my pocket, told 'em what it was, showed the tubing and was putting my shoes back on in no time, no problems. have lotsa fun on the slopes!!!

I was asked for a doctor's note once when leaving Johannesburg South Africa. Generally, if you are flying in the US you won't need one. If you are flying out of the country, it would be advisable to have it just in case.

Like many others I have never had a problem at airports. I don't even keep my supplies in their original boxes, I often stick what I need and a little extra in a baggie. You should have no problem! Enjoy the trip!

I've never had a problem. I don't carry the boxes of insulin with me, just the vials. I break down one of the boxes to take with me for the label, no one has ever had a problem with that. I do get a note from my doctor, but all it says is that I'm diabetic if they need more info, call MedicAlert. Since I always have my bracelet on, they see it and send me right through.
My pump will set off the detector if it's on my waist, but if it's in my shirt pocket, it doesn't seem to set it off...weird!

That's intesting. Next time, I'll stick my pump into my pocket if I have some time to kill..

I got shook down pretty well at the Vancouver BC security last year.
It was strange talking to the customs officer once he figured out I wasn't smuggling dope. He pointed to a guy just in the next row, tested positive for narcotics and weed. Trying to bring it through there. Guess they see enough to ask the right questions.
I never thought to bring a note from the doc, and they did not ask for one. Just went through everything closely. Very polite, but very thorough.

Didn't have a problem with syringes and needles in checked baggage or carry-on. Inspectors were curious why I had 2 ice packs in my insulin cooler, just told them to keep the insulin cool and they were satisfied. Had more problems with my CPAP machine than needles and syringes. Every time they pull me out of line and swipe the whole machine down.
