My head just swims when I read this forum sometimes. I have tried to find some good basic reading material but I find many of the books out there are geared toward Type 2 and prediabetic people.
What would you recommend as the "bible" for a good understanding of Type 1 and its management?
thanks much!

My bible is Using Insulin by John Walsh. If you're a pumper, he's written Pumping Insulin, which is also good.

My Bible on diabetes is "Think Like a Pancreas" by Gary Scheiner, MS, CDE, He is also a type 1 diabetic.

Keep in mind, many of these books are available at your public library or via interloan (but check the edition numbers).
I can't imagine how much money was saved by checking out the books on a borrowing-basis. :D
