Just wondered if anyone knows what this is.
I have pretty saw feeling if I rub the front of my shins/ankles and if I just pull on a hair really lightly it hurts like mad, really sensetive.
Any ideas?

My son is a newly Dx Type 1. He has had many similar symptoms. Based on my internet research it fits the profile of neuropathy but his Dr. insists that young people do not get neuropathy; it occurs only after years of D and poor bg management.
He is having some luck with elaril (sp?) an antidepressent because this sensitivity is also paired with other problems (serious joint and foot pain) that makes it difficult for him to attend classes or work.
How long have you had it?

Not really sure, it has been a good while I know that and I have had poor conrtol of my diabetes up to very recently, I also forgot to mention that I have very little feeling of anything cold that touches my leg around the area.
I once put an ice cream bowl streight from the freezer and all I felt was a little warm sensation so I dunno what is up with my legs atall.
