SOOOOOO for the first time ever, I manually inserted a silhouete without numbing the area with ice!!! I know it may sound dumb, but I am sooo excited that I was able to do it. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would either:thumbsup:

Congrats!!! One small step for a diabetic...

What makes you choose the silhouette? (curious - I use the quick-set)

I use it because I had a lot of problems with the quick-sets. I had a lot of bent canuals and pain around the waist when I used them. I met with a mini-med nurse who told me the only good place I could use the quick-sets was the upper portion of my butt where there was more fat. I still use the quick-sets there, but try to use the sils more because I haven't had any issues with them - aside from the intial pain of inserting.

I use the quick-sets everywhere/anywhere!! I have had some pain that's gone away after an hour or so....never tried the butt as a place of set insertion!
