Well yesterday was a point at which I saw how well I am in control with my diabetes.

As some of youi may know I have had terrible control until I found this forum and well yesterday I went high and dam I felt it bad, because I was so used to being high I got used to it but since I am now in control I felt all the things I felt when I was first diagnosed with the high BG.

Basicaly I was doing the whole drinking a ton and peeing it too, plus I had a major headach not to metion I felt **** generaly.

What I am basicaly saying is my body is used to being at normal BG's again as I felt so **** being high and I could tell I was high from how I felt.

Sorry that you had problems with your sugars, but, yes, it's a good sign that you have things more on track now. Keep up the good work :top:

Good show, Gobbly! This forum is very helpful, I only wish I had found it years ago.

I had that very same experience last week myself. Since I began pumping 6 weeks ago, I feel that finally my life with diabetes is under control. My BS are very good compared to what they had been for the years before, and I mean years. Then we had a "snack day" at work, and it all went downhill. I way overate, and my BS were very high in comparison to lately, and I felt absolutely awful for several days. It made me realize how far I've come. Keep up the good work!:)

For me, the tighter control I have, the worse I feel when I see even remotely elevated numbers. And to think that less than a couple years ago, very high numbers were the norm and I never gave it a second thought...

That's a very, very good sign! It's amazing how used to bad numbers you can get. I can feel like total **** at 150 (8.3), but if I stay at that level, or even a much higher one, for an hour or so, I feel fine. Same with mild hypos.
