I've got two questions:

1 - How do you test for insulin sensitivity?

2 - How do you know when to change your I/C ratio versus your Insulin Sensitivity ratio? Changing either/or, or both will alter the amount of insulin you receive.

1) I run around 150 (after fasting a bit) and then give 1.0 units of insulin. I test in 4 hours to see where I'm at and then again in 5 hours. Generally the 5 hour is preferred, but sometimes I can't last that long without food. I do this test 3 times, average the result, and round to the nearest 5.

2) Since the two are many times used independently it's pretty easy. If I correct and correct and have problems then I try the above. If that is fine, then I check my carb ratios. Or if I eat a meal and the carbs are way off numerous times then I check my I/C ratios.
