SInce I am fairly new to pumping (2 weeks) I have one issue that can hopefully get an answer to. One of my set changes from 3 days ago has still left a welt and it feels like a small lump under the surface of the skin. The set was placed approx 3" left of my navel. None of the others have left this kind of welt.
Any ideas as to what caused this? Other than this all is going great so far! (Knock on wood)

I get welts occasionally. I suggest keeping a close eye on it and make it is decreasing in size, otherwise get to a doc.
I always use an antiseptic after I remove an infusion set. In fact, I use the same IV Prep pad that I use before inserting my new set. I put my new set in before removing my old one, then use the pad on the old site.

I get welts but they usually disappear the same day - really quickly actually. Keep an eye on it, if it becomes red, warm or tender, then it's probably infected. (I know I'm probably stating the totally obvious, but ya never know!)

I get welts too, but they go away right afterwards, so I've never been concerned about it.
