New CoPilot Software For Cosmo Soon!!!

I wrote Smith-Medical an email about software that is compatible with the CozMonitor that would show graphs and charts. This is the reply that I just received:

We are working closely with the folks at Abbott Diabetes Care - they make all of the Freestyle meters and also manufacture the CoZmonitor for us. They are very close to releasing a new version of a software package called "CoPilot". This CoPilot software is amazing, and you will be able to beam your Cozmo history data directly into it.

I don't have an exact release date for you, but we are being told that it will be sometime soon.

Co pilot can still be used with the Cozmanager 2.0 you just have to work at it

Since copilot is looking in the OLD cozmanager folder for the database you have to copy the database there to get it to open - I havent tried tweaking the sofwtare to get it to look in the Coz2.0 folder yet

Co pilot is a PC program that imports the data from Cozmanager or the freestyle meter directly and then gives you some good graphs and reports. Co-pilot was recalled due to some calculation errors in its reports - But I still use it - It was recalled 2 years ago or so and they have been saying since then that a new version was coming out soon.

Please be assured that CoPilot will be supported again once the investigation and resolution to the software problem is completed. Until the you might want to use the Precision Link meter you have. We would be glad to send you the version 2.5 CD if you request.

We unfortunately at this time do not have any alternative software available to be used with FreeStyle products. It is a top priority for Abbott Diabetes Care to identify a solution. Although no data management alternative is available today, we will contact you as soon as an alternative is available.

Next Month Im eligible for a new pump ( 3 years )

I was considering getting another Cozmo but the LONG delay in providing this kind of support to the end user has me looking at the other companies to see what else is out there

The customer focus that helped me choose Cozmo 3 years ago seems to be fading

Im also a little peeved that they are providing to Drs offices first yet My Drs office wouldn't know what to do with it and wouldnt take the time to dload any data - They are one of the leading Endo groups in Dallas
