pain

I have a really sore, more like burning, right arm, from the shoulder down. It looks a bit swollen but I can't see anything else. I am getting really bad pain when I make a fist. Does anyone else have anything like this? Do you think it has anything to with d. My numbers are running high. Can anyone help me out. Thanx.

Hi Carolyn,

You didn't mention if your arm is hot. Is the skin broken anywhere--is there a chance of infection? That is always one of the first things I check. If the skin is broken and it may be infected, it may be time to go to a doctor and have it checked out, especially in this age of resistant staph.

Any pain for me is a little more intense when my sugar is running even a little bit high. First order of business would be to get yourself leveled out. No treats for a while, lots of water, test often, live on salads with a little protein until you are back to normal for a couple of days.

What you describe sounds like my occasional nerve pain. If so, mine will greatly lessen when my sugar is under good control.
