Anyone here ever tried using Amerigel on old pump sites? Personally I don't have any problem with old pump sites, but with glucose sensor sites on my stomach. I just put some of this Amerigel stuff on the old site that I had leftover from a minor surgery. I'll have to see how it goes. Sites on my stomach usually take a while to heal and end up getting infected, maybe this will fix the problem.

Maybe it isn't necessary and maybe neosporin is enough...

So do the sensor sites leave more of a mark/scar for you than infusion set sites would?

I know the angled set sites usually leave a bump for me that lasts months.. but the 90 degree sets do not.

Right, I use the 90 degree sets on my rear, and have absolutely no scars there. When I used to use the comforts though, I would put them on my stomach and they would leave bumps just like the sensors are. My doctor said the bumps are actually mini staph infections. Neosporin helps a lot, but this Amerigel seems to be working even faster. I only used it 2 nights, and the spot where the sensor was is almost healed.
