Hi,
I am a diabetic and have been working very hard to keep my glucose in control. I have had the disease for a long time, but recently began trying to eat natural/organic across my diet. I was looking at different "low calorie sweeteners" to replace my normal "un-natural" low calorie sweeteners. Does anyone have much experience with them? I have seen a lot of different "Stevia" products, but they seem to get mixed reviews from people on both safety and taste. I also so a website for something called "Sun Crystals" that is made from something called "erythritol" and cane sugars.

I can't find a lot of info on the internet about this product. Anyone have experience with either of these products and can you offer any advice? Thanks.

I received a free sample of Stevia when I attended last year's ADA Diabetes Expo and I didn't care for it. I use Equal or Splenda.

I tried Stevia, but didn't care for it. I routinely use SweetNLow or Splenda...and have for years, long before my diabetes diagnosis.

Stevia is an acquired taste and takes a bit of getting used to. I use it in my coffee and iced tea. I would stay away from Sun Crystals as it contains raw cane sugar which is virtually the same as table sugar. You would be better off using pure erythritol. Splenda is my favorite sweetener and I go through a good bit of it.
