Hello All
Well I went to my new doctor today. All seem to go pretty good. She did not seem happy with my constant high sugars and wonder why this went on for four years. Basically she said regardless of what happen in the past she was starting a clean slate.
She gave me these instructions to follow and to follow without question.
1. Have complete blood work
2. Have a EKG
3. Monitor my sugar at least three times per day
4. Take 25 Units NPH morning and night
5. Take 10 Units NovoRapid before each meal
6. Take one Asprin daily
7. Stop smoking right away
8. Will refer back to the same specialist as seen last March.
Return one week from today for a follow up with results from test.
Her final words before I left where " I am here to treat you and you are here to get better " If you do not want to follow my advice which will get you better then it will be a waste on my time and yours.
She seem to be very direct and did not hold anything back regarding the out come of uncontroled Blood Sugars. I think her approach of being direct is good and make you think about the outcome.
Thanks
Chris
