I saw your pump, whoever you are. You were with your parents and had sunglasses on...I would have said "Hey, I have one too" but any self-respecting dad would punch another man who said something like that to his teen-age daughter, LOL.

Iv'e learnt that I have something special and if I see some one that special too I would want to make converstion also.

I guess that's why were all here getting together. I come here because there are others like me here. I no longer feel real special in this way and makes me feel better.

Just about all you have gone through or are experiencing the same crazy experiences that I am.

Yep makes you wanna have some small talk.

I would have, but her and her family were getting up to get off at the next stop, it was noisy, etc. And I think it's probably a little weird for a grown man to approach a teen lady to strike up a conversation, LOL. I would have loved to talk to her about it, though. I don't run into too many pumpers in my everyday travels...

It's funny, though: I noticed her pump right away. When you're attached to one of these things, you notice others who are too, LOL.

I assume she was pretty. You should have just whipped out yours and shown it to her.

Then tell her you are a diabetic and show her your pump! Oh no e dint! Oh Yes I did, and god help you if I have a daughter!

Ya'll are the ONLY ones I ever "talk" to who know anything about an insulin pump. I truly believe that I'm the only one in my little town of 10,000 who has one! I even had to explain to an ear/nose/throat doctor what it was - and that was in Houston - not my little town.

if I were traveling with my teenage daughter and you'd struck up a conversation - well, I'd raise an eyebrow at first, but when the discussion was "pump" we'd have all joined in!

Egad, I could have scarred someone for life. LIFE!

I've thought about taht too when I see kids wearing pumps. Generally they are younger females that I see wearing one (I guess guys like to hide theirs more??) This happens to be in the malls most often and the thoughts of running through a mall with rent a cops after me does sound likea good story, but not one I want to have working in law enforcement, lol.

No, young Jedi, the teenage girls just wear less clothing and therefore have fewer places to hide it :-

I think I was on the Blue Line (I can catch Yellow or Blue, it doesn't matter for that portion of the trip) but she was wearing a green striped shirt...

When I saw your screen name, I thought you were going to say "that was me", LOL. I was going to say, yeah, I'm the dude with the shaved head that might have looked sort of sketchy staring at you...actually your pump. :D

I've seen two other pumpers around here: About six months ago, the wife really, really wanted to go to IHOP, so we did...Sat next to a guy with a pump on, my wife noticed before I did, actually. I didn't say anything then, either.

About two years ago I was in DC sitting at a table outside of the Potbelly's by the White House, and this SHMOKING-hot woman goes strolling by...My buddy says "Oh my my, she was hot" and I said "Wow, she was wearing a D-Tron+ pump!" Shows where my priorities are, maybe... :D
