Hey all!

I was just wondering if anyone had an extra software cable for the Onetouch Diabetes Management Software. I am willing to pay for it!

I have a Ultra smart meter and would like a cable with the USB connection.

Thanks

Lifescan does not make USB cables, however, you can get a serial to USB adapter if you only have USB available. When I used the UltraSmart, I used the PalmConnect to upload my meter. eBay: PalmOne PalmConnect USB Kit (item 300099126622 end time Apr-09-07 00:50:57 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/PalmOne-PalmConnect-USB-Kit_W0QQitemZ300099126622QQihZ020QQcategoryZ108646 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

All you do is plug your meter cable into the adapter and plug the adapter into the computer. The OneTouch software recognized the meter without me installing any additional software.

If you need the OneTouch serial cable as well, you can get it at Buy OneTouch Software v2.3.1 CD with 9-pin Cable Online at drugstore.com (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=162247&catid=85221&trx=PLST-0-SEARCH&trxp1=85221&trxp2=162247&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-SEARCH).

Replaced my serial 25 pin with adapter to 9 pin with the USB cable. A spare USB my be tough to come up with. Good Luck!

Call Lifescan and ask for the local rep's phone number. Then talk to them about getting some info on the computer software and mention you are tight on money buying the cable. Or mention that you have an old 25 pin cable and need the upgraded USB cable to work with your new computer. They will then possibly send you the cable for free. That's how I got mine when I saw a rep in a local Walmart once.
