Does anyone have any idea how many carbs are in one of the bakery croissants sold at Costco?

I'm thinking about 40 gms, but man they're hard to bolus for and not go high.. (at least for me)

Calorie King lists them as 36gm CHO. I called the Federal Way warehouse and talked to the bakery manager, he's calling corporate to confirm for me...and will call me back later today.

I have to cover "cwasants" at 1:5 ratio instead of the normal 1:15.

condensr, I wonder if you are struggling the fat content rather than the carbs. Croissants are wonderful tasting, but that is because of the fat. Try a dual wave bolus and see if that helps.

My guess would be about 30g because they aren't that big. I would also do a combo bolus to cover the fat.

There was a lady in front of me at Costco buying a box of them and she looked like she was only about 80lbs. Everything else in her cart was sugary and fatty, too. I swear I LOOK at a croissant and gain 5lbs! I was so annoyed by her... Is that mean? :o

Thanks Rikki and rzrBks!

So, with protein, looks like 4u is about right for me. For some reason, these are very 'fast' for me, despite the fat content. I have to bolus for them 100% up front or I'll go through the roof.

I love 'em, but around here with only 2 people eating them, they get less fresh after a couple days and there is still a half a package left. Yummmm though.

I'll let you borrow my 15 year-old the next time you get them... She'll have them gone in less than 4 hours!

"quasants" what is less fresh is easier to spread PB & J on without tearing them.
