Does anyone know if we can get the One Touch UltraMini here in Canada? I really want one for the summer so that I don't have to carry around a huge bag around when it's killer hot.

Give them a call to find out, it's not listed on the website. I'm hoping for the Wave 3 next summer, since the AgaMatrix rep said it would be released in the states around that time, and the iTest was released much earlier in Canada. That has a single unit with both testing and lancing that's about the size of a pen.

For now I just carry my ultra 2 around in a little shoulder bag, along with the rest of the junk I have to carry. But is the UltraMini any better? It doesn't have a memory at all, so if you keep track, you'll have to carry around paper and pencil too.

I'd offer you one of the two I own Injecto, but it doesn't provide results in mmol/l. :(

The One Touch Ultra mini actually has a 50 test memory, so if you don't have a pen handy, you can at least review your previous tests (with time/date stamp).

If they have Walgreens in Canada then they had them on sale for $19.99.

That's great peeps, much appreciated. I myself just can't seem to find it anywhere in the GTA...kind of frustrating.

That's the thing, I hate carrying around a "man purse"....I really just want to put a couple of things in my pockets and take off you know? I am curious about this "pen" thing though.

That's sweet of you, thanks. I appreciate the thought. Yeah, I need mmol/l, I just don't want to learn a new system, plus, that's all we compare to in the big C...

If you can't find it, you might try the Freestyle mini. It makes a bulge in your pocket, but my son can shove in the whole kit.

The pen thingy sounds very nifty though!

Yeah, what is this about? I've never heard of it and can't find any info when I google.
