...was what I really wanted for lunch today. And I was 20 ft away from Wendy's. But I had tuna and lettuce instead :puke:
Booooooo! Dieting stinks!!!!! The bf's oh so supportive response was "Dieting does stink. You wanna go to Wendy's?" I didn't go, because I don't want to look scary in a bathing suit this summer.
But it got me thinking... Wouldn't it be so nice if just one day a year I could eat whatever I wanted and it wouldn't go straight to my ***???

I hear ya, Claire, and feel sorry for your poor butt as well... :T
Nothing sucks harder than having my wife call me at 5, and tell me the kids want White Castle... with vanilla shakes... and I'll have a salad with cheese or chicken... maybe a couple sliders with no top buns.
If there were only White Castles and grubs left on earth, I'd eat the grubs in shame, but stare at the sliders with contempt... deadly little fun bombs of pancreatic torment!

Chocolate Frosty:
Junior size: 161 calories; 3.9g fat; 27.8g carbs
Small: 324 calories; 7.8g fat; 55.8g carbs
Medium: 426 calories; 10.2g fat; 73.3g carbs
Large: 540 calories; 13g fat; 93g carbs
Several years ago the Wendy's by my job had a guy out on the street handing out coupons for a free Junior size. I got several coupons and enjoyed the Frosties very much. The Junior size makes a decent treat without having numbers that are too awful.

OMG. White Castle. I'm homesick! White Casket! Belly Bombers! Murderburgers! Ohhhhhh, their chocolate shakes!!!!!!!
My favorite locations were on Pennsylvania Avenue in Brooklyn, or on East Fordham Road in da Bronx.
You can buy 'em in the frozen section of the supermarkets here in LA, but it's just blasphemous. You GOTTA have them cooked on location.
Ah.....memories!

I would have passed on the Frosty but I would have ordered the chicken nuggets! A four piece has approximately 10g of carbs and a 6 piece has 15g. That comes down to 2.5g each.

A frosty sounds DELICIOUS. I am a huge ice cream fan of any kind. I found a place not far away that has soft serve yogurt. Non fat and no sugar. They do a different flavor every day. Very very good and easy on your blood sugar.

I'd want 4!

Krystals are good, but noticeably saltier than White Castles.

Frosties are so good, I used to work at Wendy's when i was a teenager, and i ate a junior frosty from time to time, we used to dip our fries in there, that was good, or take a chocolate chip cookie melt it and put the frosty on top of it oh yummy....wow I was out of control back then....
As for white castle, I hate it all....my mom lived off of it when she was prego with me, ok native newyorker over here, they always joked I'd love them or hate them, and I cannot eat them, my mom ate them almost every flippin day being pregnant with me......but I know occasionally my DAD misses white castle, cause Krystals is not the same in his book....

Yeah, vanilla frosties are new. My mom had one last week and I made the mistake of trying a spoonful. It's like how McDonalds vanilla shakes were, like 20 years ago when McDonalds tasted good.
See, the problem isn't matter of BG control. I am *blessed* with having figured out how to eat pretty much whatever I want and stay in control... Of my BGs. (**** pump ) My weight is another story though. I have to be super careful what I eat.
Oh and P.S.- I loooooooooooooove White Castle cheeseburgers! Yummmm!
I swear I am not a junk food junkie. Its just the moment I use the word "diet," my brain starts playing tricks on me!

I'ver got the same problem, sometime my wife has no clue.
I can't have corn, potatoes, rice, pasta etc.
Hmm sometimes I hear, lets go for chineese food. ... well chineese food is one of the worse things I can have. Even the stirfry because of what they use to flavor it makes it DB unfriendly. Hmm.. I kind of started obsessing over this disease and just started showing her what the complications are if I don't stick to strict regiment. I told her in my current frame of mind I'd refuse dialysis if it ever came to that. My kidneys are fine right now but that's one of the complications I fear the most. I think it's starting to sink in. I just wish she would stop buying munchies for the kids and leaving them around the house! I also said mentioned it make dealing with this very difficult and if my blood works gets works I'll have to
live somewhere else. hmm.. she didn't like that.
