Just got the Connecting cable for Ultra 2

I've been using the One Touch Ultra 2 for years. This week, I received the software and connecting cable to hook the meter up to the computer. Wow! I wish I had done this a long time ago. Seeing the see-saw of my readings really was a wake-up call. I'm all over the place on readings!!

The charts, which show the target rates, hypoglycemic rates (which I hit today with a 53 reading :eek: ) are quite clear to see.

Does anyone else use this software and cable? Do you find it helps?

I use excel spreadsheets and Minimed's Carelink system.

I just switched recently from the Freestyle Flash to the One Touch. I like it too. I think its #1 for a reason !!

Gonna take a while to get used to how to read all the features in the meter, but well worth the effort.

I love my machine and was happy to have one that printed my sugars out on my computer and I took it into my doctor and they have a certain form they like them done on so now it does no good to print it out by the computer. lol but it's going to be a big help for me to chart it and see how I am doing

Also, it isn't made to work with software, but I just got an Utra Mini so I could have a meter in my purse and I love that little thing, too!

I have often used the meter by itself to track the averages, but even though it gives the 14 day average and the 30 day average, seeing it charted out on a 15 inch color screen really slams it home! I see the highs and the lows and the "within target" and "above target" readings up close and personal!

It's amazing how I can ignore it and zone it out just reading from the meter, but seeing the color charts makes me realize just how out of control I am letting myself get.

Time to rein it in! :T :embarasse :deal:
