Hi,
I have been using the Accu-chek monitor...
Tonight I just started using the One Touch Ultra Mini...

The One-Touch monitor is giving me readings 30 points lower than the accu-check.... Is this correct??? Do monitors really have that much of a difference? and how do I know which one is correct?? I've done 3 readings with both... so far they are:

1-touch - 106
accu-ck - 130

1-touch - 182
accu-ck - 205

1-touch - 170
accu-ck - 200

(in case you're wondering, I ate dinner and forgot my metformin.. thats why those last 2 cks were so high)

Personally, I'd trust the OneTouch before the Accu-check! Of course, I'm sure there are others that will disagree ;)

Don't worry!I have both meters too and the problem is almost the same- slighter is the differance with mine but they are both reliable!

I prefer one touch over other brands as well.... each meter has up to a 20% accuracy. So if you were actually 100 one meter might show you as 80 and the other might show you at 120....

Its best to stick with one meter.

have you calibrated them both? If not calibrate them both and if then they are both accurate at that point, you either 1. need to stay with accucheck or 2. put that accucheck aside and go with one touch. I have the mini as well and also a the one touch ultra 2

the one touch line is the same as my a1c's with little difference.
