 Not sure if I thought this thru before jumping in....My 6yr old and I have our 522's on the way! I thought it would be easier to just get us both going at the same time since I will be checking all hours of the night anyway. Right now she has been crazy at night, so I am up every 2 hours anyway. I am just wondering if the crazy night time checks will interfere with figuring out my own numbers? And the stress.....oh my. What was I thinking doing this all at once? Any words of brilliant advice?

Congratulations and good luck! I don't think you'll have any problems, Kel4han.

As you get them stabilized, you'll finally be able to sleep!

You still need to be wary, I hypoed mildly last night, but it will be much much better soon.

I would suggest keeping tight logs of your blood sugar readings during the first few days... That way, it will be easier to adjust your rates if need be.

Best of luck.

So are you on basal insulin now?

I am on basal now, just 3 units...but I am thinking we are going up quickly as I cant see anymore under 140's in th AM. Bummer. It was nice while it lasted. And My daughter just started .5 of basal at bedtime, but that is increasing quickly too. Tint tiny amounts here.......thank goodness for the pump.
