That would depend on the age of your daughter :)
But as an adult 3 or 4 is fine to treat a hypo.

A lot of people seem to like the 15/15 approach which is eat 15grams of fast acting carbohydrate and then test after 15 mins. Repeat if needed...
I'm a fairly big chap and I find that 4 glucose tabs does me fine. The ones I take are 3g of carbs each. Not sure what Lucozade tabs have in them, but it's going to be pretty similar.

Hi Dave,
You should also have a glucagon injection kit just in case. I'm not sure if they're called something different in the UK. It would be there to uns in case you can't feed her something.

I also carry Glucogel which you can get on prescription. Its a gel and starts abosrbing as soon as its in your mouth usually most of it has absorbed before it hits the stomach. Contains 10 grams of carb. I also use lucozade Carbo Gel which contains 38 gram of carbs. Good for exercise or if you feel sick and can't eat the tablets.
As previously posted taking around 15 grams of carb and testing 15 minutes later to see if it bringing you back up to a normal range is good advice as it can be easy to over do it.

This would be good if you were out cold!! and this injection will get out of the serious hypo. Anyway welcome to the forum. ;)
