Hi to you all. I see I already know many of you. My name is Joan and I live near Blackpool in the NorthWest of England. I was diagnosed as type 2 on 15 December 2006 and am on metformin together with diet and exercise. On diagnosis I had a A1c of 14.1, exactly 3 calendar months later I was down to 6.7 and expect it to be lower next time.

I have already lost over 5 stone (70lbs) and have more to lose.
