Hi There, I'm sorry to hear of your pain.
Unfortunately, we can't tell the future
of anyone and we don't know how much
damage your body has.
I've heard that some People have repaired
damage in their legs which is a real plus.
As far as the gastroaresis, I'm sorry to say
I don't remember anyone talking about trying
to fix that problem. That doesn't mean it
hasn't been done.
If I had either of those problems, you'd better
believe that I would be doing my darnest to
get my sugars under Good control or somewheres
close. It took some time to get that damage so
it would also take some time of decent blood
sugars to help repair it.
I only repaired a numb toe that I know of(which
was a Happy success for me). You can only gain
from improved blood sugars. Do the Very Best you
can and see how far you come. We truly hope that
you receive much relief from your pain. Good Luck
and post any time. :)
Bernstein says his gastro has resolved after a few years of LC... I have heard that tight control will help leg issues and my own neuropathy in my toes is all gone except for a very slight numbness left in the worst one.
If you can exercise by walking I believe that is a good thing for the leg pain, even though it might hurt as it encourages new blood pathways to form and helps your circulation..
good luck

I know someone who reversed both gastroparesis and neuropathy that was so bad she could hardly feel her feet. She did it by keeping her blood sugars under very tight control, which she said was a real trick with the gastroparesis. The key with gastroparesis is finding a doctor who knows which drugs to prescribe (she says Reglan was very effective) and which tricks to use to help make the digestive process as predictable as possible. She did it, though, and completely reversed both complications. Good luck to you.
