Does anyone else have problems focussing/concentrating when you have high blood sugar levels?

I have a hard time high or low!! hee hee! I do notice that very odd restless feeling, that only diabetics know, when your reading high.

I have this problem as well. I have found a natural supplement that has helped me somewhat. It's called Phosphatidylserine--I have seen it used in some natural supplement formaulas for kids with ADHD. I usually get a "Phosphatidylserine complex" that also contains Phosphatidylcholine. Everyone is different though--I just mentioned it in case you want to research it.

when i was a 'bad' diabetic and in denial, my sugars were so high for so long, i never noticed. but now that i am in control of my diabetes, and have good readings, i see a BIG difference. i'm clear for the first time in 10 yrs!

Yep. Too high and it's like ADD, too low and you want to sleep.

Absolutely.

When I'm high, it takes me much longer to get a task done than it will if I'm running at decent levels. It's just like the train of thought goes around in circles and never really takes a step in the right direction. Most frustrating....

The good thing is that when you are running at a decent BG level, you feel like you can take on the world. I think it's because I get frustrated at the times I find it difficult to focus that the times when I'm running normally I am extra motivated to get as much done as I can. He says trying to put a silver lining on a rather annoying black cloud ;)

I have to get my sugars between 120 and 160 when I study, but I think years of bad control at times has taken its toll...I am so fidgety and distracted all the time.
