Diabetes & Crohn's Disease

After a year of horrible pain and being made to feel like a hyperchondriac, my doctor's finally discovered that I actually have a serious inflamation in my intestines and colon and that it's Crohn's Disease. In a sense I am relieved to know what has been causing me so much pain and stress, but in another sense I'm a little freaked out and not very happy to be diagnosed with another disease that requires a lifetime of medication.

I was wondering if anyone out there has Crohn's Disease and could offer me some info or advise. I've done a few internet searches, but as of now I'm just totally confused.
