I was really happy to find this site. I found out that I have type 2 in late February and early stage glaucoma.
Meds have pretty much gotten my glucose level down, but I am having difficulty with my eyes becoming blurry.
The Endocrinologist states that diabetes would cause my eyes to be constantly blurry not periodically. The eye doctor gave me a new prescription for glasses & recommended reading glasses, both of which have not relieved my occasional blurred vision.
They have made me question my own sanity. Am I imagining this or has anyone else experienced something similar?

I am really glad you found this site too. I find it to be a help and wonderful information tool. Welcome!
I'm not an Endo Doc but I have had blurry eyesight.
I experience that when my sugar levels are high and are decreasing.
I wouldn't say you'll constantly have the problem but I don't know anything about glaucoma.
I hope you don't experience it for long as you get your blood sugar levels down.

Blurriness can certainly fluctuate with BG levels. It is also common for type 2's to experience blurriness when they are diagnosed and have their vision clear some time after they are stable.
Welcome to the board.

Hello and welcome to this wonderful place! :)
Had blurry vision when my blood glucose was out of wack. It got better.
I have what they call narrow angle glaucoma. Apparently not even related to diabetes. It doesn't cause me problems at the moment, I have my eyes checked twice a year and so far so good.
You've been diagnosed quite recently. It's overwhelming! You're not insane. But it might feel like a roller coaster ride though... You've found the right place to get support. Have a rant once in a while, it really heps!
It's seems you're in good hands. Never forget your health is your wealth.
Hope your eyes get better and soon.
The very best to you,

Hi & Welcome..........we're glad to have you with us!
I had and sometimes still have, blurry vision depending on how high my blood sugars are running.

Welcome to the forum! About a year before diagnosis, I started noticing a change in my vision, went to my ophthalmologist for a visit and was told it was because I was "getting older" (I was 42) and there was nothing I could do about it. After diagnosis and getting my blood sugars under control, this has resolved. I'm going in for a check next week (to a new ophthalmologist, by the way).
