I received the test results yesterday.
6.0
While this is not as good as I had hoped, it is good enough.
My doctor says my body is now functioning as non-diabetic.
Does this mean I don't have diabetes anymore? NO!
What it does mean is my risks of diabetic complications are no greater than that of a non-diabetic, and that my body is functioning properly again.
I have had problems with triglycerodes for 20 years. When first tested, I was at 366, which is beyond the 99th percentile.
Test results obtained yesterday: Triglycerides 46
Colesteol 110
I lost 13 lbs in the last 3 months, I have at least 40 to go.
My average glucose for 3 months was 99, and for the last month 96, I don't feel the 6.0 A1c is accurate, but it is good enough. Standard deviation of 24
My last A1c was 6.9, so there was an improvement.
