I'm dreamed up a pretty good list of stuff I'd love to see in the next upgrade. I've sent similar lists to Smith's already. We'll see if any of them come true. I'm posting it here too, partially cause I truly believe people who work for the various companies read such large forums to get a feel for what we want. Here it is:
Variable alarms- ie, Loud for an occlussion, vibrate for a bg test reminder, medium for a low battery, etc.
Self set time frames for alarms- options to automatically not give a post bolus bg alarm in a set time frame, or a low battery, or low reservoir in user set time frame. This way, I don't need to be woken up by a low battery alarm if I have enough juice to get me through the morning. Make this customizable not just to the time frame, but also to the alarm. Some may want a missed bolus alarm to wake them up.
Option to see how much more time basal can run for on current reservoir and same for battery life.
Put a "Custom bolus" category under "Meal Bolus" menu. This would give it a more organized appearance instead of having to scroll through several custom boluses to give a combo or extended bolus. Same for temp rates and custom temp rates.
When programming the pump, you just have the option to program a bolus in carbs (bg for correction) or units. Have an option here to program in "both" which would give the user a screen when selecting a bolus option that says "Units or Carbs" before continuing to the rest of the bolus. I'd like the same thing for temp rates too, with percentage or units. Further, I'd like the option to have some of my custom temp rates programmed in units, and others programmed by percentage. Seems simple enough.
Better computer logging. I don't want to have to log!
Allow choice of whether touch bolus is programmed in units or carbs, independent of what the meal bolus is in. That way I can give a correction via the touch bolus also, without figuring out how many units is equal to how many grams. If the touch bolus is deactivated, have the option to let it short cut to the bolus screen, like it would if you tried to program it when an extended were active.
Remote control.
Better cases!
Cleo 30 or Cleo 45.
Super Bolus
Complex temp rates- like, if I know I go high while exercising, then drop 2 hours afterward, like me program a temp rate that has multiple steps, 130% for 30 minutes, 100% for 1 hour, 50% for 2 hours. Something like that.
Smaller basal increments.
When programming a correction bolus, have touching the touch bolus button bring up the last bg you entered. I test before I eat, and bolus after I eat, so if I need to add a correction, I have to enter the bg in again, and it results in my averages and such being skewed. If I could just pull up my last entered bg, after the 10 minute time frame, that'd be great.
I'd love to be able to mark bg readings I take with the Cozmonitor in certain time frames. I want to flag them myself as to what time frame (like on the Ultra 2) they are labeled with, not be forced to use pre-set time frames. I don't eat meals at the same time every day! I then want to see averages like, "Before Breakfast", "After Lunch", "Night", "Before all meals", "after all meals", etc. Then if Cozmanager could import them as such and put them in a chart giving me time slots, that would be awesome. You could further let me tag boluses as what meal I gave them for, and then have the bolus given be put in aforementioned chart as well. It would help me reach my goal of no manual logging.
I'd like to see a few more stats on bg averages, like the ones I mentioned above, but also give me, at least in Cozmanager, if not on pump also, what percentage is in range, above, and below, bother for all time frames, and for the set time frames. Let me see this for various dates also, again, at least in Cozmanager. It seems like it would be simple enough to add to the reports in Cozmanager.
Further, I love that I can see reports on pumps for 1-30 days, but after 30 days, if it could skip to 60, then 90, that would be awesome. I don't need to see everything in between, but those two specifics would be nice.
Anyone have any more ideas for updates they'd love to see? Did I make them clear enough, or do you not understand some of them?
