really the problem is with my site. Last night when I changed my set it hurt more than normal and when I touched it hurt even more. Well I really did not want to change the set again so I figured I would check again in the morning. well I got out of the shower and noticed there was blood in my set. So I showed it to my wife and while I was showing her I decided to take the set out. When I pulled the set out HOLY **** blood startes shooting straight out, looked like somebody poked a hole in a water baloon and it was a steady stream shotting out of me about a foot to a foot and a half.Well needles to say I was kinda freaked out but worse I couldn't get it to stop . Every time that I pulled the towel away it was still squrting straight out . About 15 min. later it finally stopped. If this has happened to anybody out there please tell me what the **** happened and how to avoid this again. The site now is all black and blue the size of a golf ball and looks pretty nasty. Any help or info would be appreciated thanks

Gusher. There has been a lot of threads on the subject. They happen, but not to worry, they are few and far between.

Try to steer clear of that area again. Not much you can do, but when you have a site that hurts, don't put pressure on it. Just change it out. We all get lazy about bad sites, but you will eventually pay if you don't.

Sorry this happened to you.

Sounds like you hit a vein and probably a big one. Just be careful not to put it near that site again. It happens, even if you're injecting yourself with needles that happens. Good luck...:)

I've had 2 gushers in 8 months. Not really a problems but it looks bad while it is happening. Just move to a different location and leave the bad sight alone for a while.

It happens and is one of the downfalls of pumping. Actually, it can happen with shots just as easily and I use to get them quite often with shots. However, a shot is a much smaller needle, so it doesn't "gush" as much.

I use to average 1 a year then this past March I think I had about 3 in that month alone. All you can do is just apply slight pressure when they happen to stop the bleeding. and then try to stay away from the site for a good while till it heals.
