I tried everything to bring it back but the screen is dead. I was running high blood sugars the last couple of days. So I was checking often and this morning I could not believ it. My screen is broke. So I called pump support, they're send me a new one to arrive tomorrow...but I still feel so sad I could cry. Animas is sending me a new one without much question or hassel.

Animas is very fast in getting the replacement pumps out. I'd be surprised if you didn't receive it tomorrow. When my case cracked on my pump, they had a brand new one (not refurbished) at my house the next day. In the mean time, back to MDI I suppose. Good luck...

I felt lost when my pump broke in February. I had a new one (MM) delivered to me at work the next day. Hope yours arrives today, Vince!

ahhhh breathing a little easier now. My new animas pump showed up today as promised and after programming in my stuff I'm back in business. It looks as though there may have been some upgrades to the 1250 that were included with my replacement. :D

Glad the new pump came quickly. What new upgrades are you referring to?

It's still a IR1250 but it was manufactured over 2 years after my other one. The screen bulges out slightly (it was perfectly flat) The screen appears to be sharper, perhaps magnified and the light is brighter. The motor also has a smoother sound to it. I'm thinking maybe my previous pump was not functioning correctly for a couple of days before it died. I was really hopeing for a 2020 but I'm perfectly happy with the replacement.

I also recently got a replacement IR1250 pump and noticed the screen as well. Animas is great about getting new pumps to you fast. I only wish they could be as fast and accommodating when it comes to the pump holster or clip. My second one broke about 10 months after I ordered it and they told me they were back ordered until the end of July :(. On a side note, has anyone tried the low-profile clip and have any feeling whether it is good or not?

I like the new low-profile clip a lot. I've been wearing for awhile now, and it is much better (for me) than either the holster or the "leatherette" case. Much less bulky and more comfortable on my waistband.
cheers,

I got to try the clip before it was released. I liked the design, but thought it would have been nice if the thing rotated. At the end of the study, I sent the clip back and since I always wear my pump in a pocket I have not ordered one for myself.
One thing that irritates me about Animas is that they never even offer to give study participants a discount on these new items. I've participated in 2 studies and received no goodies or discounts... :(

Thanks for the comments Jenet and Cyborg. You'd think if you're in a study for them, they'd at least let you keep the $20 (or however much it is) clip. I think I'll order the clip since I've already had two holsters break on me.

Hi..I had my Paradigm 522 break after 10 weeks of use! One button broke and I had to call for a new one. In Toronto, Canada I'm right near Medtronic's location in Mississauga, so I quite fortunately received my replacement pump within ONE hour! Although, this happened early during one weekday, versus having this happen on the weekend...
Kind of makes me reluctant to travel I think. Need to keep buying backup pen cartidges to always have a backup system.

Many pump manufacturers will give out lender pumps for just that reason. It's nice to have a backup pump while on a long vacation, just in case...
