just out of curiosity
i get some tape residue (and when i bandage up the wholes to get them to go away faster with polysporin) there's tape residue...
what do u guys suggest on taking it off?
i've tried alcohol wipes and didn't get much success... ive heard oils?
any one have a remedy that works?

I would have said alcohol but since you went that route already how about nail polish remover? Just make sure not to come in contact with the spot the infusion set came out of.

If you use Skin-Prep to prepare your skin with that sticky stuff, it also has the remarkable effect of removing residue...

i'd think nail polish remover's too harsh....
i don't use skin prep cause i'm terrified it's going to irritate my skin....
altho i did try it on one sticky part and it was fine....
thanks for the suggestions

I use Uni-Solve adhesive remover. They come in little packets like alcohol swabs, but work wonders for me at removing any kind of sticky residue left from sets or dressings.

They're also handy when I'm using Tegaderms (which stick REALLY well, and hurt to take off if any hair has grown back under them). I use the Uni-solve to loosen the edge of the dressing, then kind of 'saw' back and forth between the tegaderm and skin with the uni-solve pad. Helps a bunch.

Sets/tape/IV3000's I just remove dry, then clean up any residue with the uni-solve if needed.

I use medi wipes adhesive remover. My insurance pays for them but I don't think they're expensive

baby oil.

I had a ring for weeks, that I thought was bruising/irritation related. It came off with baby oil. :-)
