Good Endo Visit

My 16 y.o. son with Type 1 had his endo visit today and had an A1C of 6.8. We were both very happy that he has been maintaining under 7.0 for the last year. His endo was very pleased, especially because the adolescent years are so very difficult with hormones, emotions, nagging Moms, etc. He is also playing Varsity football as quarterback and training 2-3 hours a day in this Arizona heat. Just wanted to brag/ share with all of you who have helped me tremendously to HELP him with all of your wisdom and advice.

I'm new to the forum...so I wasn't one of the advice givers...but congrats!!! I've been diabetic since I was 12...many moons ago...and my brother diabetic since he was 16. I know how much of a challenge it is in the teenage years! I keep hoping that my son (who is now 8 years old) never gets it...

Great job!!! I am cheering him on for a fantastic football season as well as keeping his diabetes in control - which has to be very difficult for a teenager.
