I've only had Diabetes for 11 months, but sometimes I think I may have cold feet as a result of it....already.... ? Either I never noticed it before I got this or it really has started since I was diagnosed, I think this would be early for any sort of complication related thing. I'm pretty OCD with numbers, etc, A1C will definately be below 6 next time Endo. Anyone else have cold feet/hands?

Yep. I have extremely cold feet. Can't do anything about it. My endo tests me every three months for neuropathy and I have no signs of it as yet. She just tells me to wear socks all the time. :T

I've had cold feet since dx. My endo says it's nothing...she checks my feet, has even checked my thyroid. Some people are just like that.

I have cold feet & usually wear socks. Even when it is hot my feet will be cold. Never thought about it being related to diabetes.

I have had the cold hands and feet since before diagnosis. My feet, well more my toes turn purple/blue (looks almost like the colour of a bruise) when they're cold.

The only time my feet become cold is when my thyroid levels drop.
Have you had your thyroid checked?

In the winter, my toes are like little ice cubes. Since I hate wearing socks at home, I stick my toes under my bigger cat, who is always nearby. Nice and warm. Anyway, no foot problems or neuropathy, just cold toes.

Before my diabetes was controlled, I would almost always be hot. Now, with it under control, I find myself much more comfortable and I often wear socks or slippers around the house because my feet get cold also.

I have to have that checked every 6 months, they saw an antibody in my blood which has not acted yet, but could at anytime.

I knew there was a discussion about this someplace! :D My feet are always cold, I wear socks all the time, and that still isn't enough sometimes. Three or four days ago, my feet seemed to be colder than usual....so cold they hurt. Each day, the pain seems to get worse and may even be moving up to my ankles, and I just cannot get them warmed up. I cannot sleep at night from the cold and pain. Until I quit taking regular aspirin, when my feet hurt, a couple of aspirin usually got rd of the pain. So I have tried it again yesterday. It reduces the pain some, but does nothing for the cold. There is one big reason this worries me...when I had the first heart attack, the only physical symptom I had was that my feet hurt real bad. I see my doctor in a week, and other than tthe foot problem, I have little to report to him. I think myA1C will be under 7 this time, but I also think the neuropathy in one of my feet is worse. My Blood Pressure today was 112/58, pulse 63, it is generally around there everyday. My BS has been up, just a little, for about 3 days, which I attribute to a lot of stress, and maybe fighting off the sniffles. Right now, I just need some suggestions to make my feet feel better.
