Yes 42 years :) No you do not want to suicide. Diabetes is just a way of life, once you have got over the shock you will be fine honestly. There is no reason what so ever not to live a long healthy life with diabetes.
Once your numbers come down and you have a routine sorted out you will be fine.
If you don't mind me asking how old are you?

Hello Q. It's not so bad having Diabetes. You will learn how to take care of yourself, and then you will feel better.

I have had it for 33 years now and live a very healthy life. I got married and have 2 kids, so far no diabetes for them. Diabetes is not a death sentence just a change in lifestyle. No it is not easy but just another challenge. Keep a positive attitude about it and you will be fine.

I have had type 1 diabetes for 46 years. Have 2 sons, a good family and am fairly free of complications. I becomes a way of life after a while, not a major burden. Acceptance is a key. Then you can deal with it on a day to day basis.

Hello QDHHQ, welcome to DF. The question is, do you WANT to live? IF you do, then you do WHATEVER it takes to live. If you WANT to live, then you WILL remember to take your injections, and do whatever else is necessary! And now, you have all of us here at Diabetes Forums to help you along your new life journey!

Remembering will become habit after a while. Just remember if you eat you inject. ;)

I inject at least four times a day- usually six to eight times, and of course some of that is at work. Sometimes I forget and take the insulin a couple of hours after a meal instead of with the meal. It happens. No one is perfect- you are going to make mistakes. It is no big deal.

You will do just fine.
It is a habit to accomplish. You already have many habits that you accomplish. You walk, you drink water, you eat. Insulin is no different. But, not everyone does insulin. 4 times per day is what I do also. As many others here, I also have using insulin for a long time - 33 years. It used to be that we did one shot - lilly lente. But lente is gone.
Where in China do you live? - just out of curiosity, I do not know China. I guess you can practice your new habit of diabetes here at diabetesforums, plus you are doing very well with english language. You will do fine - do not think about suicide.
